An insurance company uses GUI master to automate the regression testing of a call center system. The call center portal dealing with claims is regularly updated and each release involves processing approximately 150 test scenarios, each containing roughly 20 parameters. The tests took place all weekend, but it wasn’t always possible to handle the whole set of tests.
A complete set of test scenarios was automated in collaboration with the text department and the data stored in XLSX files. GUI master simulates the processing of each type of claim event and the application being tested checks the records in related systems. Each test is logged in detail and results are distributed by email. The insurance company benefits from a substantial acceleration of the test cycle. When multiple stations are deployed, the tests are done practically overnight. A detailed description of the tests makes it easier to resolve possible incidents.
